52 candidates from Jamia RCA clear civil services mains exam

A total of 52 students who were enrolled in Jamia Millia Islamia’s Residential Coaching Academy have successfully passed the civil services mains examination for the year 2021, as announced by the university. These successful candidates are now set to undergo the next stage, the personality test (interview), scheduled to take place in April.

The statement released on Friday highlighted the accomplishment of 52 students from the Residential Coaching Academy (RCA), Center for Coaching and Career Planning at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) in clearing the civil services main exam. Professor Abid Haleem, who oversees the RCA, expressed his delight at the outstanding results for the year and extended his best wishes for the forthcoming exams.

Funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the RCA aims to offer free coaching and residential amenities to students from marginalized communities such as scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, and minorities. The university statement also revealed that approximately 40 students are gearing up to participate in various state mains exams in the near future.

The Union Public Service Commission recently declared the results for the civil services mains examination conducted from January 7 to January 16, 2022. The upcoming phase involves the personality test or interview for selection to prestigious positions like the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service, and other central services (Group A and Group B), scheduled to be held from April 5.
