UPSC has activated the link to change the exam centre for the 2020 Civil Services Preliminary exam and Indian Forest Services.
The link to change the exam centre has been activated on July 7 on upsconline.nic.in. This is the first time the UPSC has given the option to change the exam centre as many students had requested for a change due to the COVID-19 lockdown.
How can the applicants change the UPSC 2020 Civil Service exam centre:
1. Go to the website upsconline.nic.in.
2. Click on the link to change the exam centre.
3. Read and just follow the simple instructions as given in the page.
4. Enter registration ID and follow the steps as mentioned.
The option to change the exam centre for the participants will be carried out in two phases. The first phase is from July 7 until 13 and the second phase is from July 20 to 24.
As of now, both the exams are scheduled to be conducted on October 4, 2020 based on the revised calendar issued by the UPSC. Also, the change of centre will be done on first-come-first-serve basis only. Once the full capacity has been reached, the slot for that centre will be frozen.
Another point to note is that, the applicants will also get a chance to withdraw their applications from the Civil Services and IFS examinations. The link for this will be active from August 1 to 6, 2020.
