SSC CGL 2020: Staff Selection Commission of SSC is the government institute that shortlists the eligible candidates from across the country to fill up different vacancies across different departments, ministries, and government organizations via the Combined Graduate Level Exam. The selection process is based on the availability of the vacancies in the said public offices, ministries, administrative. SSC CGL exam is conducted in two tiers – Tier I and Tier II and candidates qualifying for Tier I exam must appear for the Tier II exam and they need to be selected for notified vacancies of the post. The number of posts available will be notified in the official notification which would be published the latest by February 2020 and the Tier I exam would be conducted by May/June 2020.
SSC CGL 2020 Application Form:
The notification for the available vacancies would be notified on official notification latest by Feb 2020. In order to apply for the vacancy and appear for the Tier I exam, candidates must fill out the application and prior to filling the application they have must have their Marks Card of bachelor’s Degree, Aadhar Card, scanned copies of signature, photo and online payment details handy with them.
The application form comprises of two parts, Part I and Part II, of which Part I comprises of basic details about the candidate. After the declaration of the Part-I, you have to submit the form and you will be redirected to the Part-II registration. The page will show up the registration number assigned to the candidate. The candidate is required to choose which part they are applying for in column number 13. After filling the form and submitting it, the process needs to be completed with online payment. If you are unable to make online payment ensure to generate pay-in-slip to make cash payment the next day.
SSC CGL 2020 Exam Date:
The SSC CGL Exam date for Tier I and Tier II would be notified to the registered candidates via SMS or via a special link on the official website of SSC CGL 2020. After submission of the application form and last date of submission the Tier I exam usually takes place within 6 months and after 3 months of Tier I exam the Tier-II exam would be conducted which will be updated to the candidate via SMS or official notification on the website. So, candidates are requested to keep checking the website regularly for updates.
SSC CGL 2020 Tier I and Tier II Exam Patterns:
For SSC CGL 2020 Tier I and Tier II Exam the pattern has been changed from objective type mode to computer-based exam. The scheme has been changed to enable 5 marks each to four sub-sections of the Tier I exam that comprises 25 questions in the subsection. All these four sections usually check the reasoning, general intelligence, quantities aptitude, general awareness, and English comprehension.
The duration of the exam is 75 minutes. The Tier-II exam usually tests the quantities abilities of the candidates and the exam is of 200 marks with 100 questions and the minimum timing for the exam is 2 hours.
